The Herrman & Herrman Turkey Giveaway will be held on Sunday, November 23, starting at 12:00 p.m. This year, turkeys will be distributed from the Herrman & Herrman headquarters located at 1201 3rd Street in Corpus Christi. The distribution is expected to draw large crowds. Residents are asked to exercise patience and cooperation during this holiday event.  

On Wednesday, November 19, construction crews will be paving lanes on the South Padre Island Drive frontage road at Everhart Road. A section of the Eastbound SPID frontage road lanes will be closed east of the SPID and Everhart Road intersection.

The Annual Thomas J. Henry Turkey Giveaway will be held Sunday, November 16, through Thursday, November 20, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. while supplies last.

Starting Monday, November 17, Mt. Vernon Drive will be closed from Everhart Road to Wynona Drive. This closure will remain in effect until November 26.

AEP will begin infrastructure improvements in two locations along South Staples Street, starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, November 10, and continuing through November 23.

The City of Corpus Christi made significant strides in maintaining and repairing local residential streets through its Rapid Pavement Program (RPP) in FY 2025.

Starting on Monday, October 27, traffic on the east side of Nueces Bay Boulevard will be switched to the west side between IH-37 and West Broadway Street.

Starting on October 27, Bridges Specialties will be conducting essential asphalt restoration work along Yorktown Boulevard at the intersection with Sun Valley Drive.

Beginning tomorrow, October 24, the intersection of Mt. Vernon Drive and Everhart Road will be closed until November 3.

Construction crews will be working on Norton Street near Sam Houston Elementary School beginning Monday, Oct. 27.
