Temporary Closure on Everhart Road
Due to the recent freezing temperatures, the scheduled closure of the southbound lanes of Everhart Road from Staples Street to Whataburger Way has been rescheduled to begin on Thursday, January 29, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. This closure is necessary to facilitate repairs to an area on the concrete surface, ensuring the road remains safe and in good condition for all users.

The Corpus Christi Public Works Department will temporarily close portions of North Shoreline Boulevard to replace a decorative crosswalk to comply with updated state mandates starting on Tuesday, January 20.

Winnebago Street Reduced to One Lane
A major sidewalk construction project has begun on Winnebago Street to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety. The project is expected to take three months to complete and will provide ease of access between the new Dr. H.J. Williams Park and the new TC Ayers Park.

Everhart Road Reduced for Paving from SPID to McArdle Road
Southbound Everhart Road between South Padre Island Drive and McArdle Road will close for concrete work on Tuesday, January 13, between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

City to Restripe Decorative Crosswalks at Two Locations
The Corpus Christi Public Works Department will begin replacing decorative crosswalks at the Six Points intersection and on Shoreline Drive to comply with updated state mandates. The work will start on Monday, January 12.

City of Corpus Christi Winter Holiday Closure Schedule
In observance of the holiday season, all City of Corpus Christi non-essential offices will be closed during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. Most offices will be closed beginning Thursday, December 25, 2025, and reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026.

City Council Awards Contract for East Surfside Boulevard Reconstruction on North Beach
At today's regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council awarded a $2.1 million contract to A. Ortiz Construction & Paving, Inc., for the comprehensive reconstruction of East Surfside Boulevard. This project spans from Breakwater Avenue to Elm Street.
