  • Ennis Joslin Road Lane Closures

    Motorists are advised that underground utility work near the intersection of Ennis Joslin Road and Nile Drive will require varying lane closures. Beginning Monday, June 2, crews will close a small section of the northbound lanes near the City’s Oso Water Treatment Plant, allowing two-way travel on the remaining lanes. 

  • Peoples Street Boardwalk Update

    Continuing work on the Peoples Street Boardwalk will require a lane closure near the Peoples Street T-head, the landmass that goes into Corpus Christi Bay near the Marina from Shoreline Drive.

  • Baldwin Boulevard Lane Closures Planned

    Baldwin Boulevard between Ayers Street and South Staples Street is scheduled for a repaving. The work will require lane closures but will allow two-way traffic.

  • Everhart Road Project Updates

    Everhart Road between Staples Street and Alameda Street will reopen to traffic on Friday, May 23. Additional work in the area continues with a traffic shift on Everhart Road at McArdle Road. The northbound lanes at the intersection will be closed beginning Friday, May 23. Two-way traffic will be rerouted to the southbound lanes of Everhart Road between McArdle Road and Burney Drive. 

  • West Broadway Street Construction Update

    Beginning Wednesday, May 21, construction work will close West Broadway Street between North Port Avenue and Peabody Avenue. The closure is expected to be completed by mid-July.

  • Cooper’s Alley Construction Update

    Work on the Cooper’s Alley L-Head construction project is now underway and will require a lane closure. Two-way traffic will continue on the westbound lane. Flaggers will be present to help navigate the construction zone.

  • Martin Road Lane Closures

    Roadwork on Martin Road will require lane closures, beginning Monday, May 19. Travel will be one-way southbound from Holly Road to Dorado Street.

  • McArdle Road Now Open

    McArdle Road from Kostoryz Road to Carroll Lane is now fully open. The street project began in late 2023 and was voter-approved as part of Bond 2018. The $8 million project was a total reconstruction with new concrete pavement, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, ADA-compliant curb ramps, signage, and related underground infrastructure improvements.

  • Elizabeth Street Completed

    Elizabeth Street between South Staples Street and Santa Fe Street is now fully open to the public. The $2.4 million project began in September 2024. This critical section of road provides access to Christus Spohn Hospital. 

  • Traffic Switch on Alameda Street Upcoming

    On Friday, May 9, traffic on Alameda Street will switch to the southbound lanes from Louisiana Avenue to Texan Trail while the northbound lanes will be closed for roadwork. This phase of the project is expected to remain in effect through October.
