The Corpus Christi Public Works Department will temporarily reduce the southbound traffic of Cimmaron Boulevard from Saratoga Boulevard to Lipes Boulevard to one lane from March 6 until March 20 for maintenance.

Ongoing road work on Bonner Drive will require a traffic switch, allowing one-way eastbound traffic from Flynn Parkway to Everhart Road beginning Friday, March 6.

City officials are pleased to announce the completion of the Alameda Street Construction Project, which revamped one of the busiest thoroughfares in Council District 2.

Ongoing work will require lane closures near the intersection of Yorktown Boulevard and Rodd Field Road.

An AEP contractor will begin infrastructure improvements in two locations along Ocean Drive beginning on February 18.

The first project is between the 4200 block of Ocean Drive and Ocean View Place and will begin on February 18.

The second project is between the 3300  block of Ocean Drive and Ocean Way Street and is scheduled to begin on February 23.

All roadways are open in the area of Everhart Road and South Padre Island Drive (SPID) as construction crews have completed the final section of the $29.3 million project.

At today's regularly scheduled City Council meeting, the Council awarded a $15.8 million construction contract to Bay Ltd. for the complete reconstruction of Alameda Street, stretching from Airline Road to Everhart Road.

As construction crews near the completion of water line improvements at the intersection of South Padre Island Drive (SPID) and Everhart Road, they will implement a switch in lane closures in the area. Beginning Thursday, February 5, at 7:00 p.m., construction crews will remove current traffic restrictions and set up new traffic control plans in the area. Workers will be on-site until approximately 6:00 a.m. Friday, February 6.

Beginning on Wednesday, February 4, and continuing through Tuesday, February 17, the intersection at Betty Jean Drive and Cain Drive will be closed to facilitate repairs to a sewer line.

Beginning on Monday, February 2, and continuing for two months, Poth Lane will be closed to all traffic between Gibson Street and Buddy Lawrence Drive.
