Unified Development Code (UDC)
The Unified Development Code (UDC) ensures orderly development and impacts your quality of life every day, whether you are a resident, business owner, or a developer. The UDC provides development standards that build Corpus Christi and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
The UDC is a living document that is amended to adapt to a growing community. Explore the links below to learn more about how the city is built. Please let us know where you think it can be improved using the Contact Us link.
Updated UDC Forms
The City of Corpus Christi is embarking on updating its Unified Development Code (UDC) to ensure our zoning and platting standards keep pace with modern development practices and support high‑quality, well‑planned growth. Each proposed amendment will go through a transparent public review process that invites input from residents, industry professionals, and community partners, helping us refine the UDC in a way that reflects shared priorities. The Development Services Technical Advisory Group (DSTAG) plays an essential role in this effort by providing expert guidance and practical insight on technical matters, ensuring updates are both effective and implementable. Together, this collaborative approach helps maintain a UDC that is clear, consistent, and responsive to the needs of our growing community.
