Residential Remodels and RepairsYvette Wallace serves as the Interim Director and Assistant Director of Building for the City of Corpus Christi’s Development Services Department. Her career with the City began 15 years ago during her practicum at Del Mar College, where she interned with Development Services Legal and discovered her passion for municipal operations and community service.
Since then, Yvette has held key roles overseeing administration, floodplain management, policy, and operations as Development Services Administrator. She led permitting, customer service, plan review, and compliance, improving processes and service delivery. As Assistant Director, she added inspections to her oversight, and now as Interim Director, she leads the department with a focus on efficiency and community service.
Yvette holds two Associate degrees from Del Mar College and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Arizona. She is set to complete her MBA at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in July 2026.

Unified Development Code (UDC)
The Unified Development Code (UDC) ensures orderly development and impacts your quality of life every day, whether you are a resident, business owner, or a developer. The UDC provides development standards that build Corpus Christi and its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
Development Task Force Meetings
Task Force meetings are held quarterly, every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at City Hall (6th Floor Conference Room) 1201 Leopard St. Corpus Christi, TX 78401.

About Us
The Development Services Department is responsible for all planning, development and permitting activities in Corpus Christi. The department brings together building services, civil engineering, planning and zoning, permit applications, major projects and records in a way that customers can access information, start new projects, and get projects approved.
