The City of Corpus Christi and Corpus Christi Water (CCW) have launched a new online water dashboard to provide the public with useful information during ongoing drought conditions. The dashboard features monthly data on water availability, forecasts for potential water restriction changes, and monitoring of both western and eastern water supplies.

The City of Corpus Christi has begun planning for Fiscal Year 2026, which starts October 1, 2025. A preliminary forecast, reviewed with City Council on April 29, shows a possible $7 million gap between projected revenues and expenses. To close this gap, the City is considering a mix of revenue increases and expense reductions. City departments began internal budget reviews in February to identify efficiencies and savings.

With a significant portion of Texas experiencing drought conditions, the City of Corpus Christi is deploying a dynamic, multi-faceted strategy to secure life-sustaining water for over 500,000 people across a vital seven-county region. Our pledge is to deliver affordable, drought-proof, and unwavering water security, no matter what the odds.

From June 2 to July 25, children ages 6 to 16 are in for a blast with fun activities like outdoor sports, group games, arts and crafts, science projects, field trips, and more. Morning and afternoon sessions are available at the Lindale and Oso Recreation Centers, with snacks provided. The cost is $30 per child per weekly session. Registration will be open until spots are filled.

The program, funded in collaboration with the City of Corpus Christi Type B Corporation and administered by LiftFund, has dedicated $2 million in funding to support local small businesses that have been impacted by the Stage-3 water restrictions. Eligible businesses may receive up to $50,000 to cover payroll and retain existing employees and contractors.
